Suffragan Bishop Charles Graham, Sr.
Suffragan Bishop Charles Graham, Sr. was born on August 22, 1944; the youngest of six children. He was raised in a Godly home in Tampa, FL until he moved to San Diego, CA, as a teenager. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Castle Air Force Base in Merced, CA. At the age of nineteen years old, while in the Air Force, Bishop Graham rededicated his life to the Lord, being filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus’ Name at Bethesda Apostolic Church, in Fresno, CA, where Bishop H.L. Johnson was the Pastor.
As a member of Bethesda, Suffragan Bishop Graham served in numerous positions, to include service to the youth department, Sunday School, Choir, Brotherhood, and Deacon Board. He began his pastoral ministry as an Assistant Pastor to Bishop H. L. Johnson at Bethesda Apostolic Church in Fresno, CA. He served faithfully in this capacity for 14 years.
The Grahams were married on October 1, 1967. Expecting to celebrate fifty-two years of marriage, the Lord, in his divine wisdom called Lady Naomi Graham from labor to reward on September 10, 2019. They are parents of two children, Charles Jr. (his wife, Charlie) and Adrienne (her husband, Solyn), and grandparents of five grandchildren, Charles III, Cameron, Chandler, Samantha, and Audrey.
After putting their two children through college and working for over 30 years for McKesson Drug Company, Bishop Graham completed his Associates Degree through San Joaquin Delta College and Bachelors and Masters Degrees through Aenon Bible College, West Coast.
In 1994, Suffragan Bishop Graham was recommended to serve as pastor of a church in Modesto, CA that needed restoration. As the Lord continued to bless the ministry, the Grahams relocated to Modesto in the third year of ministry. Though it was a sacrifice, the ministry was restored and still thrives today.
On December 13, 1997, they were officially installed as Pastor and First Lady of True Light Apostolic Faith Church (later changed to True Light Worship Center). The Grahams relocated and began the restoration process again. They have served faithfully for over 20 years.
After being elevated to District Elder of District #9, Suffragan Bishop Graham was elevated to Suffragan Bishop and elected as Vice Chairman of the California District Conference, the 16th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. He served as Second Vice Chairman and heads the Credentialing Committee. Being a man of Godly-wisdom and knowledge, he readily makes himself available and is a great help to young ministers, pastors, and leaders. He has served as a Chaplain for the Stockton Police Department, a mentor for Franklin High School and is involved in community ministerial associations.
On April 10, 2021, the Lord blessed our Pastor to marry Lady Delores Graham. Lady Graham is a wonderful addition to True Light, bringing a kind and loving spirit and wealth of knowledge. Her greatest contribution is her love and care for our Pastor as he continues to serve us faithfully.
